Favignana, the largest of the islands south of Egadi, in front of the Levanzo harbor, the queen of the traps, the pearl of the archipelago, the butterfly of the sea, the island of winds and goats. Ideal for families, Favignana offers white sandy beaches and rocky shores.

The village, modern-looking, was a small medieval village defended by a fortress San Giacomo, at the same level of houses and the fort of Santa Caterina is located on the highest point now reached by a staircase illuminated. The landscape is characterized by dry stone walls that surround the various properties and many underground gardens (old quarries of tuff) long in disuse, become ideal shelter from the wind, and gardens are home to various plants, attributing to unusual island charm. To see the sea caves, reached briefly by the small harbor with fishing boats, deep and old tufa quarries (pirrere), where there are still signs of the long manual work done with old tools to extract the white tuff (Cantuni) and then put to sea on board the boats, loaded, thanks to several slides at sea still present in the eastern part of the island (la piana).
The Mediterranean covers vast tracts: thistles, prickly pears, agave (Zabbar), give the landscape a stunningly unique charm.
