Orsomarso is a quiet little town of the Calabrian hinterland surrounded by various most beautiful natural sceneries. You can find Orsomarso in the Valley of the River Argentino, in a picturesque and  impressive position among the woods, under the rocky ridges of "Mount Timpone Simara". One of Orsomarso's most visited areas is infact the River Argentino that captures any visitors' attention enchanting them by the "tunnel" of trees and wild plants that surrounds this Calabrian River, almost to protect its beauty. The inhabitants of this village have worked out many different ways of living using natures resources without mistreating them. They are well known for producing local wine and cultivating wheat and vegetables, also for the mysterious ways they use nature's herbs almost replacing the modern medicines. Orsomarso is also one of the few towns of the North Tyrrhenian Calabria that mine coal, and once also had a salt mine.

Visit: the parish church named after St. John, that was built right over the old structure of a medieval chapel. This church hosts various frescoes, some painted by G.B.Colimodio and others situated in the entrance hall by an unknown artist dating back to the 14th-15th century. A 16th century parchment is situated in the vestry of the church, representing the Holy Virgin and Child Jesus, John Baptist, and two coat of arms. Whilst in St.Salvatore's Church you can find a valuable copper plate carrying Nuremberg decorations and engravings of the 15th century.
